Evaluation using Physiological Measures and Subjective Graphing

The project aims to investigate the relationship between the user’s subjective feedback and their physiological responses for emotional stimulation. In this study, users will be made to provide feedback on their emotional states using subjective graphing and SAM affective rating system on being exposed to different emotional stimuli. Simultaneously, the Biofeedback device and the Eye Tracker are used to measure the participant’s physiological measures (heart rate, skin conductance and pupil dilation). The data gathered from these measures will then be used to analyze the affective state of the users based on the valence arousal dimensional model.  The LITE lab is currently working on a pilot study of this project to determine its feasibility and find deficiencies in the design of the proposed experiment to improve its efficiency and accuracy.
