Center for Technology Enhanced Learning

The Center for Technology Enhanced Learning (CTEL) was created in 2005 to explore technology as a tool for enhancing learning.  CTEL researchers create prototype systems; evaluate these and existing systems; and conduct applied and basic research related to learning technologies.

Our newest addition to the lab is the MinerTV studio. This studio was created for the MinerTV student organization in spare CTEL room. Though MinerTV is not an official branch of CTEL, the studio serves as a gesture of goodwill toward the campus community. MinerTV creates videos of news and entertainment made for S&T students by S&T students. Currently, the Center furnished the studio with a video-editing computer workstation, a desk for news anchors, a green screen, a professional HD camera, and equipment. Learn more about MinerTV by visiting their website.

CTEL works closely with the affiliated Laboratory for Information Technology Evaluation.

Both the center and the lab are affiliated with Missouri S&T's Information Science and Technology Program.
